Anthony is a Partner at Ballas Pelecanos Law, co-heading the Consumer Rights & Product Liability and Dispute Resolution practice groups. He is also an active member of our Intellectual Property practice group.

A graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (LL.B.), he also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with distinction from the University of Kent at Canterbury, where he studied International Commercial Law. He has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1988 and entitled to argue cases before the Supreme Courts and all lower courts.

Further to the above, Anthony has developed a strong interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and attended training with the Piraeus Mediation Center. After successfully undergoing the required State examinations, he obtained his accreditation as a Mediator, becoming one of the first professional Greek mediators accredited by the Ministry of Justice.

Anthony’s excellent know-how in the field of consumer rights that enables him to litigate or negotiate disputes involving consumer rights’ protection and product liability, while at the same time he advises major automotive industries on similar matters. In addition to the above, he has extensive experience in litigating intellectual property rights infringement cases in both criminal and civil courts. As a reward of the high quality of legal services he provides, he was chosen to participate as lecturer in a training programme for Police & Customs officials in Estonia sponsored by the EU.

Further to his work at our firm, he has been a regular contributor to The World Justice Project Rule of Law Index since 2012.
