Konstantina is an Associate at Ballas Pelecanos Law, playing a key role in our Competition & Distribution practice group. At the same time, she is also participates in our Public & Defence Procurements, Dispute Resolution and Energy practice groups. Konstantina provides expert advice on various matters of Competition law, such as abuse of dominance, concentrations (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures) and State aid. She also maintains an active interest in Public Procurement and IP law.
She holds an LL.B. from the Democritus University of Thrace, an LL.M. in International Business Law from Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and an M.A. in European Law and Public Policy (Jean Monnet Programme) from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. She has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2017, licensed to practice before the Greek Court of Appeal, a member of W@Competition, as well as an active member of the Athens branch of ELSA (European Law Student’s Association), which she participated in a wide range of legal activities and seminars on a European level.
Prior to joining Ballas Pelecanos Law, she gained valuable experience in the field of Competition law in acclaimed law firms in Greece and in highly acclaimed international American law firm in Belgium (Brussels Office), while she remains an Associate advisor on Corporate and Competition law compliance matters at Parnima Consulting AG in Switzerland. She also gained invaluable related experience while serving as a Blue Book Trainee at the European Commission in Brussels, DG Competition / Directorate E - Basic Industries, Manufacturing and Agriculture. During her time there, she worked not only on matters relating to state aid, but she was also involved in the Phase II investigation of a major EU merger control case.
Most notably, her past roles include a legal internship at the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU in Brussels dealing with various EU law matters, as well as a legal traineeship at the Bank of Greece dealing with EU financial regulations and EU monetary policy.
Konstantina has also published widely on matters of EU and Competition law in several prestigious legal journals.
