Andromache is a Certified Senior Paralegal, with over 24 years of experience in the management, administration and prosecution of trade marks, patents, utility models and industrial designs in Greece and abroad. She joined Ballas Pelecanos Law in December 2011 and is an integral member of our firm’s Intellectual Property practice group.
After studying computer sciences, she went on to obtain certifications on WIPO Advanced Courses related to trade marks, industrial designs, geographical indications and patents, as well as a Paralegal Certification in 2016. She is a member of the Greek Paralegal Association and a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), and speaks English and French.
At Ballas Pelecanos Law, Andromache is involved in preparing and coordinating availability trade mark searches; filing of assignments, changes of name and address, filing and registering of trade marks, patents, utility models and designs, filing PCT applications; filing of EP applications at the EPO; filing and registering of European and international trade mark and design applications; managing clients’ IP portfolios and budgets; conducting researches for potential infringements of clients' IP rights, as well as coordinating with foreign counsel on international trade mark, patent and design filings.
Basil is a Certified Paralegal with three years of specialized experience in corporate legal support, having previously contributed to two prominent Greek law firms. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (2020) and has further advanced his expertise with certifications in Paralegal Skills and Blockchain in Financial Services from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is fluent in English and French, and has a basic command in Italian.
At Ballas Pelecanos Law, Basil is engaged in drafting various agreements, submitting minutes and essential documentation to GEMI, obtaining official certifications, and managing other critical corporate documents. His responsibilities also include preparing and filing UBO forms to comply with anti-money laundering regulations, maintaining accurate records, assisting in all immigration related procedures, such as visas and administrative approvals, as well as overseeing the corporate bookkeeping for our clients.
Alexandra is an experienced IP paralegal with 15 years of relevant expertise. She joined our firm 5 years ago, after having honed her skills at one of Greece's long-standing Intellectual Property law boutiques, gaining considerable proficiency in a wide range of IP protection matters.
With an academic background in healthcare sciences and IT, Alexandra, who has Greek and English as her working languages, is a valued member of our IP Practice group. On her day-to-day work, she focuses on handling trade mark and patent prosecution matters, assisting our attorneys with the organisation and reporting of trade mark and patent searches, recordals and filings, the collection of evidentiary materials for court cases, as well as acting as a first point of contact for various client queries relating to IP matters.
