The NIS2 Platform is now live in Greece

Wednesday, 17 September 2025

The Hellenic National Cybersecurity Authority has announced the launch of the Entity Registration Platform established under Law 5160/2024, which transposes the NIS2 Directive (EU 2022/2555) into Greek law. This initiative represents a significant step in strengthening the national framework for cybersecurity resilience and regulatory compliance across critical sectors.

All Essential and Important Entities falling under the scope of Law 5160/2024 are required to register through the dedicated online platform, which is available at https://nis2register.cyber.gov.gr/app/home.

Registration includes the mandatory submission of details relating to the Information and Communications Systems Security Officer (Υ.Α.Σ.Π.Ε.).
Entities that have already submitted their details by email are deemed to have complied with their registration obligations for regulatory purposes. Nevertheless, these entities are required to complete their registration on the new platform, which entails submitting any additional information now required, including the Security Officer’s details, and entering the protocol number that was issued as confirmation of their earlier email submission.

The platform also allows entities to update their details whenever changes occur and to submit registrations for the first time if they are newly brought under the scope of Law 5160/2024. Companies are therefore advised to verify whether they qualify as Essential or Important Entities, proceed with registration without delay, and designate their Security Officer.

The launch of the platform creates immediate compliance obligations, and failure to register or to designate the Security Officer may expose entities to regulatory scrutiny and sanctions.
