Although metaverse gambling is still in its formative stages, competitive entertainment is undoubtedly a huge industry that poses many legal challenges.
Our firm recently participated in the 2022 Lexing World Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse: Legal aspects, where we presented a paper providing a high-level analysis of Competitive entertainment in the metaverse. Our presentation aimed to identify the basic elements of the metaverse, how these elements enable the development of gambling and betting entities in the metaverse, as well as the potential legal issues and controversies arising thereof.
